As always, a user will login to the UAMS Tier 1 instance of REDCap using their REDCap username and password. With the newly enabled MFA users will now be required to complete a second step in the login process before they are able to access REDCap. Moving forward users will have to verify your account using a verification code sent to the primary email address associated with your REDCap account. We recommend all users confirm or update their current primary email address in their REDCap profile before August 2.
When prompted for the second step in the login process, users can opt-in to have their device/computer be remembered for 30 days during which they will not have to perform two-factor login but only log in with their username and password.
Contact your REDCap administrators at redcap@uams.edu if you have any questions or concerns regarding the new Multi-Factor Authentication in REDCap.
The REDCap URL redirect is live. All original links, including survey links, will be redirected to the same location using the new URL name. IT Research plans to keep this redirect live for the next year to allow users to transition from using old links with "crisredcap" to using new links with "redcapconnectt1." The redirect went live April 16, 2026, and is expected to be removed April of 2027.
1. API Token users will need to update any of their local scripts or integrations that utilize the REDCap API. The REDCap API tokens will not be affected, but the REDCap URL used in the script will need to be updated to the new link after the URL change is complete.
2. Mobile App Projects - All data must be fully synchronized from Mobile App devices before the URL change. After the change, projects will need to be updated on the Mobile App devices to sync to the new server URL.
